PCore Console

This global provides access to the PCore Console.

Note

Within the Python environment, the stdout and stderr output of any script is automatically routed to the Console (e.g., via print for stdout, and print >>sys.stderr in the case of stderr). While using the LWPCoreConsole::info() or LWPCoreConsole::error() method will achieve the same effect, those methods are mainly made available for non-Python (e.g., C++) usage.

class lwsdk.LWPCoreConsole(self)

Bases: object

Proxy of C++ PCore::LWPCoreConsole class

 clear()

Clears the PCore Console of all its current contents. Be careful with this command, as it cannot be undone, and the user may find the information in the log to be useful. As a guideline, this command should be used only during development of your code for debugging purposes.

 error(char message)

Prints the provided string to the PCore Console as an error message (it will be highlighted in red).

 hide()

Closes the PCore Console if it is currently visible. Unexpected closing of the Console may confuse the user. As a guideline, this command should be used only during development of your code for debugging purposes.

 info(char message)

Prints the provided string to the PCore Console as an information message.

 show()

Opens the PCore Console for display to the user if it is not already. Unexpected opening of the Console may confuse the user, who has control over the circumstances under which the Console will appear. As a guideline, this command should be used only during development of your code for debugging purposes.

 visible() → int

Reports on the current visibility of the PCore Console. A return of 1 indicates that the Console window is currently open and visible to the user.
